Swansea University KESS Scholarships in MRes Visual Computing in UK

Swansea UniversitySwansea University is offering two scholarships for students to pursue Visual Computing MRes programme. These scholarships are part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the European Union’s Convergence programme administered by the Welsh Government. Scholarships will cover the full UK/EU tuition fees as well as a £10,130 student living costs award (tax free). Applicants should have already applied formally to Swansea University for a place on the MRes Visual Computing programme. The application deadline is 24th May 2013.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing MRe (Research) Programme at Swansea University.

Eligibility: -Only master’s applicants from the UK or EU are eligible.

-Applicants must be resident in the Convergence Area of Wales on enrolment and be permitted to work in the Convergence Area upon completion of the scholarship.

-Applicants should hold (or be expecting to achieve) a minimum of a 2.1 degree (or equivalent).

-Applicants should have already applied formally to Swansea University for a place on the MRes Visual Computing programme.


Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and UK can apply for these scholarships.


Scholarship Description: The scholarships are part of the Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarship (KESS) programme, which aims to widen access to postgraduate study and encourage high calibre graduates to work on a range of collaborative research projects with small and medium sized organisations in the Convergence Area of Wales (Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Swansea & Torfaen). The successful students will complete a project in conjunction with an allocated company.
