The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is inviting applications for exchange scholarship for undergraduate students. This scholarship is awarded to outbound exchange students enrolled on an undergraduate programme in maritime studies at Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies (LMS) to pursue semester 1 or 2 of 2013/14 academic year at the collaborating universities in the Chinese Mainland or overseas.  The applications should be submitted till 17^th June 2013.

Eligibility: -Outbound exchange students enrolled on an undergraduate programme in maritime studies offered by the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies (LMS).

-The outbound programme is for the LMS students to study in some maritime related programme in the collaborating universities in the Chinese Mainland or overseas in Semester 1 or 2 of 2013/14.

- The outbound exchange recipients of the scholarships are not allowed to hold other exchange scholarship(s) concurrently. However, they are allowed to receive subsidies from PolyU which cover part of the expenses of the exchange programme.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of Hong Kong can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The Hong Kong Shipowners Association Limited (the Donor) has donated scholarships to PolyU. The Scholarships are now open for application. To undergraduate student(s) of Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies (LMS) to attend outbound exchange programme(s) in Chinese Mainland or overseas in Semester 1 or 2 of 2013/14 academic year.

-Asian Countries: 14,000 (Value of Scholarship for one semester (HKD)

Selection Criteria: The scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of applicants’ academic merit and extent of  participation in extra-curricular activities.
