Toyota Foundation International Grant Program in Japan

Toyota FoundationToyota Foundation is funding international grant program in Japan. International grant is targeted to Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Project duration is one year which covers transportation, travel, communication, personnel, meeting, producing output. Applicants should have strong communication skills and experience in impacting the stakeholders. Project should start from 1st November, 2013. Applications should be submitted online.


Study Subject(s): The scholarship is provided to study thematic areas of a) Aging society; b) Multicultural society; c) Consensus-building on local environmental issues.
Course Level: This scholarship is for pursuing research program.

Scholarship Description: Dynamic changes have transformed many, if not all, countries in Asia. A number of countries in the region have become more prosperous. These countries will soon share similar challenges with Japan. As equals, Japan and these countries need to create a new style of cooperation. Benefit from mutual learning gets larger than ever before.

Duration of award(s): The duration of grant is one year (Nov 2013 – Oct 2014) without any extension.


What does it cover? Total amount of grants: 60 million yen.a) Project focusing in one of the target countries: 3 million yen b) Project focusing in more than two countries with comparative nature: 6 million yen million yen. Grant covers transportation, travel, communication, personnel, meeting, producing output.


Selection Criteria: Selection Committee will review proposals in terms of relevance, impact, efficiency, and feasibility.


Notification: The results of selection will be emailed to applicants upon the Board of Directors meeting, by October 2013.
