Auckland University of Technology Millennium Vice-Chancellor Scholarships

University of Auckland Business SchoolAuckland University of Technology is announcing Millennium Vice-Chancellor Scholarships in New Zealand. These scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree levels. Students must have completed and submitted application of the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences for an International Student Exchange. The purpose of scholarships is to establish and develop exchange opportunities between AUT University, School of Sport and Recreation and the German Sport University (Cologne) that will enrich, strengthen and expand the student learning experience.


Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided for courses offered by School of Sport and Recreation at Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand.
Course Level: The scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree level at Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand.
Scholarship Provider: Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand.
Scholarship can be taken at: New Zealand and Germany


Eligibility: Students must have completed and submitted the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences Application for an International Student Exchange.


Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of New Zealand can apply for these scholarships.


Scholarship Description: AUT provides a wide range of undergraduates and postgraduates scholarships and awards: to encourage and support the contribution that university education makes, creating opportunities for individuals, and thereby enriching society as a whole.  To establish and develop exchange opportunities between AUT University, School of Sport and Recreation and the German Sport University (Cologne) that will enrich, strengthen and expand the student learning experience.


Number of award(s): Four scholarships for one AUT semester only (2013).


Duration of award(s): One AUT academic calendar semester full-time, non-renewable to allow a one semester international student exchange to take place at the German Sport University (Cologne).


What does it cover? Scholarships cover AUT tuition fees and student services fees for either Semester 1 or Semester 2.


Selection criteria: In determining the suitability of an applicant for the scholarship, the selection panel will take a holistic view of each application and take into consideration the applicant’s academic record, written letter of support, curriculum vitae and interview (if required).


Notification: Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application as soon as possible after the closing date.


How to Apply: Completed Application Form  should be sent via post.

Applicants must be current AUT BSR or BBus/BSR conjoint students who would have successfully completed at least 120 points of either programme by the end of November and have at least 120 points remaining in their programme.

Complete the AUT Millennium Vice Chancellor Scholarship Application Form.

Write a letter that should answer the following three questions:

Why would you like to participate in the exchange with the German Sport University in 2013? (max 300 words)

How would you ensure that you gain the most from this opportunity if awarded this scholarship? (max 300 words)

Why should AUT select you for the scholarship for the German Sport University exchange? (max 300 words)

An updated copy of your curriculum vitae must be included with your application.

Your current academic transcript will be accessed from ARION by the School of Sport and Recreation and attached to your application once your application has been submitted.


Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadlines are August 2, 2013 and November 1, 2013.
