National Human Resources (HR) Scholarships in Singapore

The Ministry of Manpower in partnership with leading private sector firms are offering up to six national HR scholarships in Singapore. Scholarships are awarded to undergraduates with the relevant business degrees and HR specializations at the local universities. Scholars are required to serve a two year bond for two year scholarship and three year bond for three year scholarship with their chosen sponsor company. The students of Singapore can apply for these scholarships. Application should be submitted till June 7, 2013.


Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided in the relevant business degrees and HR specializations at the local universities. Current students of the following programmes can also apply: NUS BBA – Management & Human Capital specialization, NTU BB – HR Consulting specialization and SMU Bachelor Degree – Organisational Behaviour and HR Major.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate degree level at National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Management University in Singapore.

Eligibility:- Be a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident on the date of application

-Be an undergraduate with the relevant human capital specialisation of their degree programme (as listed below) upon graduation:

-NUS BBA – Management & Human Capital specialization

-NTU BB – HR Consulting specialization

-SMU Bachelor Degree – Organisational Behaviour and HR Major

-Attain academic results that qualify for at least a “Pass with Merit” or equivalent upon application

-Possess a strong interest in HR, have leadership qualities and qualities to succeed in human capital managem


Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of Singapore can apply for these scholarships.

Up to six National HR Scholarships will be awarded each year to undergraduates with the relevant business degrees and HR specialisations at the local universities. Current students of the following programmes, who have at least one full year of their studies remaining, are invited to apply (i.e. you should be a 2nd year student on a 3-year programme, or a 2nd year or 3rd year student on a 4-year programme, in your next semester):


Number of award(s): Up to six National HR Scholarships will be awarded each year to undergraduates with the relevant business degrees and HR specialisations at the local universities.


Duration of award(s): Scholarships are offered for two or three years.


What does it cover? The National HR Scholarships provide the following support for the remaining duration of your undergraduate studies (i.e. two or three years):

-Tuition fees and other compulsory university fees

-Monthly allowances

-Sponsorship for approved overseas exchanges and/or attachments and developmental programmes

-Hostel fees.

Notification: -Industry partners will contact you to arrange interviews if you make their shortlist

-Final round interviews are expected to take place in June and July

-Scholarship offers are expected to be sent in August and September
