Scholarships for Vietnamese Students at University of Queensland in Australia

University of Queensland,  Australia offers Scholarships for Vietnamese Students for 2013/14 academic year. Scholarships are provided in the field of international economics & finance, development economics, business economics, health economics and economics and public policy. These scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree level. The application deadline is 31st October 2013.

Eligibility: For master program: Complete an undergraduate degree from a recognised institution with a GPA of at least 8 out of 10 on the Vietnamese grading scale. Vietnamese students with a qualification from Australia or another country are also eligible to apply.

-Students must have an IELTS of 6.5 overall with a 6 in all other sub bands, or Internet based TOEFL minimum overall score of 90 with; 21 writing; 20 reading; 20 speaking; 20 listening.

For undergraduate program: Graduates from a recognised Vietnamese gifted school with a year 12 average grade of 8.0 or above on a 10 point scale. Students must have successfully completed advanced mathematics (including calculus). Successful completion of the first year of tertiary study with a grade point average of at least 8 out of 10 on the Vietnamese grading scale. Students must have an IELTS of 6.5 overall with a 6 in all other sub bands, or Internet based TOEFL minimum overall score of 90 with; 21 writing; 20 reading; 20 speaking; 20 listening.


Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of Vietnam can apply for these scholarships.


Scholarship Description: The School of Economics at The University of Queensland is offering scholarships for outstanding Vietnamese students seeking admission into either an undergraduate or coursework masters program in economics. The School has established a strong connection with Vietnam, attracting high achieving students and we are proud of the contribution made to the UQ student body by our Vietnamese students. The following competitive scholarships are awarded to outstanding Vietnamese students on the basis of academic excellence and extra-curricular activities. Students who are short listed for consideration will be required to participate in an interview.

Duration of award(s): These scholarships are offered for the whole duration of the program.


What does it cover? These scholarships do not include living expenses for the duration of the program, travel expenses or overseas health cover. They are awarded on a competitive basis. Previous study of economics or work experience is not required. Covers up to 100% of tuition fees for students.


Selection Criteria: These are competitive scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding Vietnamese students on the basis of academic excellence and extra-curricular activities.
