UTP Foundation, Malaysia offers PhD scholarship for Malaysian citizens. This scholarship is awarded up to 48 months for pursuing PhD by Research programmes offered at UTP in the research areas related to Oil, Gas and Energy. This scholarship includes a monthly allowance of RM 5,000.00 per month, book allowance of RM 2,000.00, computer allowance up to a maximum of RM 3,000 (once off). Thesis allowance of RM 2,000.00 (once off) and tuition fees as approved by UTP. Applications should be submitted online till 26th June 2013.

Eligibility: PhD Applicant
-Must be a Malaysian citizen
-Age must not exceed 45 at the time of application
-Must possess a related Bachelor Degree qualification with a minimum CGPA of 3.25/4.00 or equivalent recognized by UTP Senate
-Possess a related Master Degree by Coursework/Mixed mode with a minimum CGPA of 3.25/4.00 or a Master by Research mode with at least 1 (one) article published in peer-reviewed journals or equivalent qualifications recognised by the UTP Senate
-Preference will be given to candidates with relevant industrial experience
-Passionate to become a researcher and academician.

What does it cover?
-Monthly allowance of RM 5,000.00 per month.

-Thesis allowance of RM 2,000.00 (once off).
-Attending and presenting of 3 (three) research papers at approved national or international conferences in Malaysia or approved international conferences in South East Asia Region – (3 (three) local conferences OR 2 (two) local conference and 1 (one) international conferences in South East Asia Region).
-Successful candidates shall be bonded upon completion of their studies.
