Multicultural Scholars’ Programme at University of Warwick in UK

University of WarwickUniversity of Warwick is offering Multicultural Scholars’ Programme for undergraduates entering the University in September 2013. Scholarships are provided in the field of Business Management, Accounting and Finance, International Business, International Management, Law and Sociology. This scholarship is open for students who are resident in the UK with priority given to students of Bangladeshi or Pakistani origin and thereafter to students of Caribbean or African origin. Applications should be submitted till 23th August 2013.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible to apply for a Multicultural Scholars’ Programme scholarship, you must:

-Be resident in the UK and eligible to pay fees at the home rate

-Be of Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Caribbean or African origin

-Be applying for a full-time undergraduate course through UCAS and receive and firmly accept an offer of a place to study at Warwick from September 2013 on one of the following courses:-BSc Business Management, BSc Accounting and Finance (UCAS code NN34), BSc International Business, BSc International Management, BA Law and Business Studies, LLB Law 3 Year, LLB Law 4 Year, LLB Law with Study Abroad in English , LLB European Law, -BA Law and Sociology, -BA Law with Humanities, -BA Law with Social Sciences.

-Have not previously studied for a first degree

-Be applying to www.gov.uk/studentfinance for assessment for financial support and be entitled to a full or partial Government Maintenance Grant.

-Be willing to sign an agreement to take full and active part in the Multicultural Scholars’ Programme.


Scholarship Open for International Students: This scholarship is open for students who are resident in the UK, with priority given to students of Bangladeshi or Pakistani origin and thereafter, to students of Caribbean or African origin.


Scholarship Description: The University of Warwick is pleased to offer a Multicultural Scholars’ Programme for undergraduates entering the University in September 2013. The programme was initiated as a result of the generosity of two anonymous donors and is now supported by other individual donors, Warwick graduates and external organizations. It is the wish of the donors that the programme should prioritise help for students from poorly represented ethnic groups in UK Higher Education. The Multicultural Scholars’ Programme will be available to students based in the Warwick Business School (WBS) or the School of Law.

What does it cover? The Multicultural Scholars’ Programme will be available to students based in the Warwick Business School (WBS) or the School of Law. Scholars admitted to the programme will receive:

-Financial assistance of £2,000 per year for each year of your course.

-Extra support and advice from a dedicated personal tutor and careers adviser.

-Mentoring within the University and from Warwick graduates.

-Company visits to supporting organizations in the UK

-Opportunities for career development and other special events organized by WBS and the Law School will also enhance the Warwick experience.
