-Must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 point scale or 4.0 or more on a 5.0 point scale, or have a minimum score of 250 for a GED.
-Students must be citizens, nationals, or have lawful permanent residence in the United States and must reside in Illinois.
-Students studies must be in the healthcare arena, i.e., medicine, nursing, osteopathic medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, podiatry, optometry, allied health, or schools offering graduate programs in public health or clinical psychology or any other healthcare field.
- Applicants must be enrolled as full or part-time students in an undergraduate or graduate health care program at an accredited college or university.

Scholarship Description: The Hispanocare Student Scholarship fund was established in November 1996, in order to help Latino-American college students complete their education, by providing unrestricted scholarships for whatever the student(s) needs, i.e., education, housing, books, food, clothing, etc. To date, Hispanocare has awarded in excess of $393,000 in scholarships to 153 deserving Latino students.
