Master Study Grants for International Students at USI in Switzerland

USI in SwitzerlandMaster study Grants for international students at university of Italian Switzerland are offered in Economics, Communication Sciences and Informatics. The Foundation for the Lugano Faculties of USI will award a total of 60 one-off study grants of the amount of 4’000 CHF each. The grant is awarded in the form of a deduction of the tuition fee and cannot be exchanged for cash. The application deadline is July 31st, 2013 and candidates will be notified till August 16th, 2013.


Study Subject (s): Grants are provided to study any one of the courses offered by faculties of Economics, Communication Sciences and Informatics.
Course Level: These Grants are available for pursuing master’s degree .
Scholarship Provider: The Foundation for the Lugano Faculties of USI.

Eligibility: 

-The applicant must have obtained the Bachelor degree (all examinations taken and thesis defended) by July 31st, 2013 with a cumulative grade point average of at least 80/100.

-Applicants must have been admitted to the first year of a USI Master degree beginning in September 2013. Applications from students enrolled in a USI Master before Sept 1st, 2013 will not be considered.


Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of Switzerland, Italy and any other countries can apply for these grants.

The merit based grants are given to first year students admitted to a USI Master program starting in September 2013. The grant is awarded in the form of a deduction of the tuition fee and cannot be exchanged for cash. The grant cannot be combined or accumulated with other scholarships provided by USI.


Number of awards (s): 

-20 grants will be awarded to students that pursued a Bachelor degree at a Swiss University

-20 to students that pursued a Bachelor degree at an Italian University

-20 to students that pursued a Bachelor degree at a University from other countries.

Selection Criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on the merit based, grants are given to first year students admitted to a USI Master program. Merit is determined by the results of the academic degree that gives access to the Master program (usually the Bachelor’s).


Notification: The applicants will be informed till August 16th, 2013.
