Coventry University Phoenix Scholarships for Undergraduate Students in UK

Coventry UniversityCoventry University, UK offers Phoenix scholarships for undergraduate students. Students will be starting on the first year of a full-time undergraduate (including HND) course (not NHS or Social Work) that charges a University tuition fee from the new 2013 fee arrangements. The students of England can apply for these scholarships. The value of a Phoenix Scholarship could mean an award of £9,000 over the length of a three year degree, if the scholar satisfies the renewal criteria each year. 403 scholarships will be awarded competitively on the basis of good results.

Eligibility: Before you can apply you must ensure that you:

- have been offered a place on a course (not NHS or Social Work) and made a firm (CF, UF) commitment to Coventry University during the UCAS admissions phase

- will be a new entrant student to the University for the 2013 – 14 academic year

- will be starting on the first year of a full-time undergraduate (including HND) course (not NHS or Social Work) that charges a University Tuition Fee from the new 2013 fee arrangements

- will meet the normal course entry requirements

- are resident in England

-have checked the list of qualifications and have been given predicted grades that will achieve the required 280 UCAS tariff points or equivalent.

- have applied to Student Finance England (SFE) for income assessed student support and expect to be awarded the full Maintenance Grant of £3,354.


Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of UK (England) can apply for these scholarships.


Scholarship Description: A proportion of these scholarships are reserved for students from Phoenix Partnership schools. The remainder is allocated to other qualifying students residing in England. The value of a Phoenix Scholarship could mean an award of £9,000 over the length of a three year degree if the scholar satisfies the renewal criteria each year.


Number of award(s): 403 scholarships will be awarded and students are encouraged to apply early. A proportion of these scholarships are reserved for students from Phoenix Partnership schools. The remainder is allocated to other qualifying students residing in England.


Duration of award(s): Phoenix Scholarship could mean an award of £9,000 over the length of a three year degree if the scholar satisfies the renewal criteria each year.


What does it cover? Phoenix Scholarships will be awarded competitively on the basis of good results. Each scholarship is worth £3,000. Of this, the successful scholars will receive:

-a fee waiver of £2,000.This will reduce tuition fee liability;

-a cash payment of £500 (paid by BACS);

-a credit of £500 that can be taken in a variety of ways:

-an additional fee waiver;

-a discount on university owned accommodation;

-vouchers which can be spent on campus services such as the bookshop, catering outlets, sports centre, study materials etc.


Selection Criteria: Phoenix Scholarships will be awarded competitively on the basis of good results.


 Notification: Awards will be confirmed by September 14, 2013.

Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline is 31st August 2013.
