Scholarship Description: Application is invited for “Senior Research Fellow” position under Naval Research Board (NRB) Funded Research Project at the Nano Technology Research Centre, PSG Institute of Advanced Studies, Coimbatore. Short listed candidates will work under the co-supervision of Dr. K. R. Ravi, Assistant Professor, PSG Institute of Advanced Studies and Prof. Baldev Raj , JC Bose National Fellow, President of Research in PSG Institutions, President of Indian National Academy of Engineering and Former Director of Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam. Students shall be provided with opportunities to collaborate with eminent scientists and access to state of art facilities available across in India and abroad to enable them pursue front line research. Broad Area of Research: Near net shape manufacturing of in-situ aluminum matrix nanocomposites. Major focus is towards the synthesis of non-dendritic in-situ aluminum matrix nanocomposites using ultrasonic melt treatment.
