School of Modern Languages of Newcastle University is offering SML Alumni Scholarship, MLitt studentship and number of fees-only bursaries for 2013/14 entry. SML Alumni Scholarship is for either the MA in Professional Translating for European Languages or for MLitt study. MLitt studentship starting in October 2013 is to enable a student to carry out research on a topic in one of the following fields: Chinese and Japanese Studies; French and Francophone Studies; German Studies; Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies; Film Studies; Linguistics; Translating and Interpreting Studies. A number of fees-only bursaries (equivalent to Home/EU fees, pro-rata for part time students) are offered for MA students. Applicant must first hold an offer of a place to study for a MLitt at Newcastle University (for this he/she will need to apply via the web portal) before the university can process the applicant’s MLitt studentship.

Eligibility: The SML Alumni Scholarship is one further scholarship available for students starting postgraduate study in September/October 2013.
