MDIS Merit Based Scholarships for International Students

Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS), Singapore offers merit based scholarships for international students. These scholarships are open to new students for pursuing a pre degree, degree or master’s degree programme at five renowned university partners from the United Kingdom, Australia and France. Each scholarship is tenable only for the academic years for which it is awarded and will cover the subsidised portion of the tuition fee. Applicants can apply till 31st August 2013 for Phase 1 and 31st March 2014 for Phase 2.


Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded to study any course offered by MDIS.
Course Level: The MDIS international students merit scholarship is open to new students seeking a Pre Degree, Degree or Master’s Degree.
Scholarship Provider: Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS)
Scholarship can be taken at: MDIS offers the programmes of five renowned university partners from the United Kingdom, Australia and France.


Eligibility: Applicants must:

-apply for admission to MDIS before scholarship applications can be reviewed

-have demonstrated record of academic achievement

-strong leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-be eligible to apply for merit scholarship.


Scholarship Open for International Students: International students can apply for these scholarships.


Scholarship Description: The MDIS International Students Merit Scholarship is an initiative aimed at providing high-calibre students with the opportunity to develop to their full potential. It offers scholarships to outstanding students pursuing their studies with MDIS. The MDIS International Students Merit Scholarship is open to new students seeking a Pre Degree, Degree or Master’s Degree. The scholarship will cover the subsidised portion of the tuition fee payable by International students and the awards are deducted from the last installment of the tuition fees.


Duration of award(s): Each scholarship is tenable only for the academic years for which it is awarded and is not transferable from one academic programme to another.


What does it cover? The scholarship will cover the subsidised portion of the tuition fee payable by International students and the awards are deducted from the last installment of the tuition fees. Merit Scholarships are available in the following categories:

-Partial scholarships for Master’s Degrees valued at SGD 4,000 each

-Partial scholarships for Bachelor’s Degrees valued at SGD 3,200 each

-Partial scholarships for Pre Degree valued at SGD 500 each.


Selection Criteria: The Scholarship Selection Committee will select and assess candidates based on their academic merits. Additional consideration may be given for leadership qualities, career ambitions and participation in extra-curricular activities.


Notification: Phase 1: Scholarship will be announced in Oct 2013 and Phase 2: Scholarship will be announced in May 2014.


How to Apply: The completed scholarship application form must be submitted by post.


Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadlines are: Phase 1: 1st Feb to 31st August 2013 and Phase 2: 1st Sept 2013 to 31st March 2014.
