Scholarship Description: Carnegie-Cameron Taught Postgraduate Bursaries are awarded for the payment of tuition fees for one-year taught postgraduate Masters courses offered by a Scottish university. The bursaries aim to enable students to enhance their employability in their chosen field, develop their specialist skills or supplement existing ones, thus bettering their career prospects. The Bursary scheme should not be considered as a step-stone towards PhD study. Applicants must already have been offered and accepted a place to study on a postgraduate taught programme at the University of Stirling in order to be considered, and must meet their conditions of offer in full before the award of a bursary can be confirmed.

Number of award(s): The University of Stirling has been allocated four Carnegie-Cameron Taught Postgraduate Bursaries for academic year 2013/14.

Duration of award(s): These scholarships are for one-year taught postgraduate Masters courses.

What does it cover? The value of a Bursary for 2013-14 will be £3,750. If the course fees are under £3,750 the Trust will pay the lower fee amount. If the course fees exceed £3,750, the Trust will only cover fees up to £3,750.

Selection Criteria: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit and promise, and of their financial circumstances.
