Graduate School of Management Master’s Scholarships for African Students in New Zealand

University of Auckland Business SchoolGraduate School of Management is funding master’s scholarships. Scholarship is available for African students to pursue a Master of Management, Master of International Business or Master of Professional Accounting degree in the Graduate School of Management at the University of Auckland Business School. One or more scholarships will be awarded for a period of up to one year and each will be of the value of up to $30,000.


Study Subject (s): Scholarships are provided to study Master of Management, Master of International Business or Master of Professional Accounting .
Course Level: The scholarships are available for pursuing master’s degree level at Graduate School of Management, New Zealand.
Scholarship Provider: The Scholarships are funded by the Graduate School of Management New Zealand.

Eligibility: To take up and be paid the scholarship recipient must be enrolled and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time study in a Master of Management, Master of International Business or Master of Professional Accounting degree in the School of Graduate Management at the University of Auckland Business School. To continue and to hold the scholarship, the recipient must maintain a GPA of 5.00 (equivalent to a B average) in each quarter of study. The application deadlines are 17 June (for the September intake in the year of the award), and 1 December (for the April intake in the following year).


Scholarship Open for International Students: The international students who are citizens of a country in Africa (Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia and Zimbabwe.) can apply for the scholarships.


Scholarship Description: These Master’s Scholarships were established in 2013 and are funded by the Graduate School of Management.The main purpose of the scholarships is to support international students who are citizens of a country in Africa to up-skill and launch a business career by completing a Master of Management, Master of International Business or Master of Professional Accounting degree in the Graduate School of Management at the University of Auckland Business School. The scholarships will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics (or nominee), the Director of the Graduate School of Management (or nominee), and the Director of Master’s Programmes of the Graduate School of Management (or nominee).


Number of awards (s): One or more scholarships are offered.


Duration of award (s): Scholarships are offered for 1 year.

Selection criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and a written statement.


Notification: Decision will be made after six weeks of the closing date by letter or email.
