Justice Malek Ahmad Scholarship for International Master’s Students at UWE in UK

University of the West of EnglandUniversity of the West of England is funding one international scholarship for master’s programme. Students must have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in their undergraduate degree and must have an conditional or unconditional offer at University of the West of England. Scholarship covers tuition fee and accommodation costs for students. Students are selected on the basis of academic merit and the information that is provided in their application form and statement.

Eligibility: Eligible students must:

-have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in their undergraduate degree

-have an unconditional offer by 31 May of a place to study a one year postgraduate programme at UWE which they have firmly accepted

-be a new student and be classed as overseas for fees purposes

-not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award.


Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: International students can apply for this scholarship.


Scholarship Description: This scholarship is awarded in the memory of Justice Malek Ahmad, President of the Court of Appeal Malaysia (deceased). The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.


Number of awards offered: One full tuition fee scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student to study a one year Masters programme.


Duration of award(s): One year Master’s programme at UWI.


What does it cover? One full tuition fee scholarship will be awarded. The scholarship also covers accommodation costs of up to £3,000.


Selection Criteria: Applicants are selected based on academic merit and the information that is provided in their application form and statement.


Notification:Students will be informed of  decision by 30 June 2013.
