Smith Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Maryland in USA

University of MarylandRobert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland is offering undergraduate  to current Smith School students as well as students transferring to Smith from institutions outside of the University of Maryland and incoming first-year students. Most scholarships are based upon GPA, major, credit accumulation, demonstrated leadership, residency, financial need, and other factors. Application Deadline is May 17, 2013.

Scholarship Description: The Smith School have generous corporate partners and donors who fund the undergraduate scholarships. All of the scholarships are awarded to current Smith School students (as well as students transferring to Smith from institutions outside of the University of Maryland and incoming first-year students). In recent academic years, nearly $1.2 million has been available in undergraduate scholarships. Scholarships are awarded for the academic year and are divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters. If applicants graduate in December, they will receive one semester’s worth of the award. They must be a full-time Smith School student in order to retain eligibility for their scholarship, and they must write a thank-you letter to their donor to receive the second installment of the award. Once notified of an award, students must accept the award online and provide additional information that can be shared with scholarship donors.

The Office of Undergraduate Studies encourages all Smith students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
