Full-Time PhD Scholarship for International Students at Nottingham Trent University in UK

Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University offers Full-Time PhD Scholarship for UK/EU and International Students in UK. Scholarships are provided in the field of synthesis, structures and properties of chiral molecular conductors. The scholarship is equivalent to Home/EU fees and provide a maintenance stipend (currently £13,590 for 2012/13) for up to three years. The application deadline is 31st May 2013.

Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided in the field of synthesis, structures and properties of chiral  molecular conductors.
Course Level: The scholarships are available for pursuing PhD degree level at Nottingham Trent University, UK.
Scholarship Provider: Nottingham Trent University, UK
Scholarship can be taken at: UK

Eligibility:   Applications can be accepted from UK/EU and also International students. Scholarship Open for International Students: UK/EU and International students can apply for the scholarships.

Scholarship Description: This project concerns the synthesis of high quality crystalline samples of chiral materials in both the Rand S enantiopure forms to study the effects of combining chirality, magnetism and conductivity in the same lattice. It involves the synthesis of novel organosulfur donors, their partial oxidation to conducting materials using magnetic counterions, determination of crystal structures and the features of the supramolecular organization of the lattice that control the electromagnetic properties.

Number of award(s): Not Known
