SIM Global Education Bursary in Singapore

SIM Global EducationEach year, SIM Global Education offers Bursary in Singapore. A total of 50 bursaries will be offered to needy students who are pursuing diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at SIM GE. It is a monetary award based on financial need. The amount of bursary is up to $2,000 and should only be used to pay the SIM course fees due. Application for SIM GE Bursary is open throughout the year but will be processed and awarded on a quarterly basis.

Commonwealth Youth Awards for Excellence in Development Work in UK

Health Professional Scholarships for PhD Students in Australia

Heart Foundation in AustraliaHeart Foundation is offering health professional scholarships for PhD students in Australia. The PhD may be in any area of cardiovascular research, including clinical, biomedical, public health and health services research. Scholarships provide stipend only for 3 years subject to annual review. The stipend for scholars commencing in 2014 will be $40,000 p.a. (pro-rata). The award provides the opportunity for applicants to return to the main PhD stream after a number of non-academic years and apply to other PhD scholarship schemes for funding. The application deadline is 28th June 2013.

Applications that are incomplete or do not conform to the funding rules will not be considered further.

The successful students will acquire a variety of specialist skills utilising a wide range of state-of-the-art techniques including molecular biology, nano-biotechnology, chemical biology, advanced microscopy techniques and culture of epithelial and endothelial cells as models for biological barriers. It will be necessary for the students to interact closely with academic and industrial collaborators across COMPACT.
