The University of Southern Queensland offers International Women’s Conference Scholarship in Australia. Eligibility: To be eligible applicants must:

-be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status

-be female

-commence their studies in a bachelor degree in Semester 1, 2014

-be enrolled at Toowoomba, Springfield or Fraser Coast Campus

-be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2

-be studying on-campus, external or online.

Scholarship Description: The USQ Women’s Network will offer one scholarship for a female student commencing a bachelor degree in 2014.

What does it cover? The scholarship will have a maximum value of $1,500.

The scholarship provides for two award options:

-a new laptop computer with minimum software provided or

-a $1,500 book bursary (USQ Bookshop).

Selection criteria: Applicants will:

-provide evidence of academic achievement, e.g. high school report card or post-secondary academic history, as applicable

-have a high level of academic achievement

-provide evidence of financial hardship.
